The roof on this house no longer has grooves. This is a very large box so be sure to check dimensions if using in a release cage. Approximately 17 pounds.

SQUIRREL NEST BOX PLACEMENT:

Nest boxes should be placed a minimum of 10’ up preferably facing the sun. It is recommended that the house be mounted on a flat tree. Any curvature of the tree can cause the bottom to jut out and would require shims to be place behind it to stabilize it.
