You will need a cordless drill to mount this box to a tree.

SQUIRREL NEST BOX PLACEMENT:

Nest boxes should be placed a minimum of 10’ up preferably facing the sun. It is recommended that the house be mounted on a flat tree. Any curvature of the tree can cause the bottom to jut out and would require shims to be place behind it to stabilize it.

Do not place feeders near nest boxes as they may cause unwanted traffic and deter the squirrels from using the boxes. Be sure to clean the bottles weekly to prevent fungus and mold.
