This basic squirrel nesting box is a rugged, rehabber-trusted shelter designed to meet the basic requirements of the DCNR for gray squirrels. Built from FSC pine, it's ready for installations in release sites, backyards, and wooded habitats.

You will need a cordless drill to mount this box to a tree.

SQUIRREL NEST BOX PLACEMENT:

Nest boxes should be placed a minimum of 10’ up preferably facing the sun. It is recommended that the house be mounted on a flat tree. Any curvature of the tree can cause the bottom to jut out and would require shims to be place behind it to stabilize it.
