SQUIRREL NEST BOX PLACEMENT:

Nest boxes should be placed a minimum of 10’ up preferably facing the sun. It is recommended that the house be mounted on a flat tree. Any curvature of the tree can cause the bottom to jut out and would require shims to be place behind it to stabilize it. This house comes with a metal bracket to place underneath it for extra support. Mount the bracket to the tree first then set the box on top and screw that to the tree.
